Independent Power Operations Limited (IPOL) was formed in 2001 as IPC’s operations and maintenance (O&M) subsidiary, providing plant management and technical services to third party clients as well as to group companies. Today IPOL is recognised as an internationally qualified operator of power generation facilities that offers an effective operations and maintenance service for owners of generation and distribution assets.

IPOL provides a complete operations and maintenance service for power generation assets with the aim of improving standards of operation and introducing better management procedures to improve efficiencies in use of fuel and engineering resources as well as in protecting the environment.

IPOL has experience across utility management operating a mixed portfolio of independent power generation and utility assets in the fast deregulating global power market. It has experience of performing the management and operations of generation assets, both standalone and linked to local distribution systems.

IPOL is a wholly owned O&M subsidiary of Independent Power Corporation PLC and it currently plays an important role as part of IPC’s expansion plan as an independent manager and operator of power generation assets.
